54 Quilters went south in a chartered bus to the 39th Maine Quilts show held in Augusta!

Judy Babbidge (Caribou Quilting instructor), Ruth Bradbury and students organized this day trip to share their passion of quilting together. 

Students travel to the Learning Center from all over the county to attend classes with Judy.  Although all the students were not able to go on this trip, the bus was full.  

Quilting is more than a craft, it's a way of life!!!

Certified Nursing Assistant is more than a job, it's making a difference...

Always accepting applications!

 

The Certified Nurse Assistant Course is designed to prepare students for State of Maine certification. It consists of 110 hours classroom/lab and 90 hours clinical experience, usually two four hour evenings and one eight hour weekend day sessions per week.  Upon successful completion of the classroom & clinical components, students will be given the State of Maine CNA competency test along with all necessary forms required to be placed on the State of Maine CNA registry.  

Summer course is TBA

Fee: $850 (Text included)

Note:  Students in this course must complete an application, interview with the instructor and pass a reading comprehension test with a minimum  9th grade level.

Congratulations Graduates 2015

The marching graduates the of the Eastern Aroostook Adult and Community Education program include,

Congratulations to our 103 high school diploma and HiSET graduates this 2014/2015 year of RSU39 Eastern Aroostook Adult and Community Education program!  Ninteen students passed the HiSET exam with college and career readiness levels.  Marching graduates achieving this were honored with a medallion at the ceremony, they include: Erin Patton, Courtney Walsh, Christopher Skidgel, Zachary Still and Michael Coventry.  Also, Nicholas Bailey, Dean Penney and Michael Richards were present and honored with a medallion.

Welcome to our new website!

We have recently launched our new website! The new site brings with it many new and exciting features designed to make locating and registering for courses much easier.

Some of these new and exciting features include:

  • Search for courses: You can now search for courses from our program as well as from other adult education programs across the state. You can also browse our courses by category if you prefer.
  • Register online: You no longer need to come into our office or mail us your registration for some courses. When you see the "Add to Cart" button on any course, that means you can register and pay for the course online in a few easy steps. Of course, you can also call, walk-in, or mail in your registration if you prefer.
  • Latest news and events: Read our latest news, updates, happenings and events inside our News & Events section. You can also subscribe to our News & Events using RSS.
  • Frequently Asked Questions: Find answers to important questions about our program, schedules, registering, and the adult education system by searching or browsing our frequently asked questions section.

Our website is a part of the new Maine Adult Education Portal, sponsored and managed by the Maine Adult Education Association. When you visit the new MAEA website online at http://www.maineadulted.org, you can search for courses and programs statewide to find the perfect class closest to where you work or live.
