Eastern Aroostook Adult & Community Education
Maine Adult Education Program
In January 2014, Maine changed its approved high school equivalency test from the GED to the HiSET.
HiSET provides adults with the opportunity to obtain a high school equivalency certification with the same legal standing as a high school diploma. Through a pre-testing, preparation, and testing program, it allows test-takers to demonstrate proficiency of the academic skills and knowledge expected by employers and post-secondary institutions. HiSET™ consists of five subtests:
Language Arts-Reading
Language Arts-Writing
Mathematics
Science
Social Studies
While each person enters the process with varying academic skills, the steps are the same: CASAS math and reading assessments to help focus the right development of skills by classwork/studying/tutoring, pass all five pre-tests, and finally pass the five Official HiSET exams.
Let us help you. Our commitment is to guide you step by step so that you can pass the HiSET Exam. We have professionals who will help you develop academically. We offer flexible hours, a variety of study options: one-on-one (online, face-to-face or hybrid) and group.
